#giveback + #givefirst

#samsales + Philanthropy

Since opening our virtual doors in 2019, #samsales Consulting has had a mission to make a positive impact at every turn. Outside of our day-to-day activities of supporting over 160 clients, one of our core values is giving back to those who need support. In the fall of 2020, we committed to donating a portion of our proceeds through the end of the year to three charities, which received over $10,000 in donations by the end of 2020.

In the fall of both 2021 + 2022 we were pleased to have raised over $50,000 (each year!) for charity and hope to raise even more in the coming years as we continue our commitment to serve underserved communities. From supporting military families, mentoring young women, donating our #samshorts training, and supporting economically challenged communities, we pledge to do our part.

In 2023, we continued our giving and fundraising but in a slightly different way.

Last year we were honored to support four deserving charities through our #samsales Cares Charitable Giving Campaign.

The Fund For Global Human Rights

World Central Kitchen

Fisher House Foundation

The Trevor Project

Please consider to continue donating to these incredible organizations through our #samsales Cares page and 100% of all donations will go to the charities.

“Gated was extraordinarily pleased to participate in the 2022 #samsales charity event, as it so directly tied to our company’s mission in two ways: to improve human-centric communication and to amplify social impact. The energy of the event was incredible, as both attendees and VIP guests brought a positive and constructive vibe to every pitch delivered. If you want to see a flawlessly run event with a “room” full of smart, dynamic, and impact-driven professionals…This is it!”  – Melissa Moody | Founder & CMO, Gated

“This was my first time attending the #samsales ‘show me you know me’ event and it exceeded my expectations. I was able to learn about solution providers that I probably would have never come across otherwise and the pitches were absolutely amazing. After the event, I found at least two of the vendors that I wanted to immediately set meetings up with to discuss their solutions in more detail. To top it all off, the money raised that will be going back to charities is AWESOME!! I am excited and can not wait for next year’s event.”  – Shawanda Roberts | Global VP Sales & Marketing Activation, Frost & Sullivan

Our First Annual Charity Event raised over $50,000 for charity!

It was a big undertaking for a little company in its early stages, but we did it!

With the help of many generous people, we were able to help many people. The money raised at this event was divided equally between four very deserving organizations that were carefully selected by our team. In the past we have selected charities that have direct impact in our immediate vicinity. In 2021, we wanted to make a more global impact, reaching further than before. The charities we chose to support for our 2021 initiative are:

One of the highlights of 2021 was participating in the awesome SHE DC campaign that offered a micro grant to one of the 35 female-owned local businesses that applied. We proudly gave our grant to the runner up, Ashleigh Pearson, who graduated top of her class at Le Cordon Bleu, went on to work for Thomas Keller at Per Se in NYC, and has now founded her own business, Petite Soeur, making exceptional chocolates in Washington, DC! Congratulations, Ashleigh!

#samsales Consulting is a Partnerstretch Sponsor of Homestretch, a non-profit local to #samsales HQ in Washington, D.C.  Homestretch empowers homeless parents with children to attain permanent housing and ultimately, self-sufficiency.  Many of their clients arrive in fervent despair, fleeing for their lives from domestic violence.  Homestretch is designed to address the root causes of homelessness by giving each family the skills, knowledge, and hope to become productive participants in the community.

Fisher House Foundation builds homes for military & veterans families to stay at free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital.  Supporting the military is one of the core missions of #samsales Consulting, where a majority of our staff are military and civilian spouses.

Junior Achievement USA is a non-profit designed to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.  Apart from being a sales expert, Sam McKenna is a financial literacy coach and is proud to join in their mission to give young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success.

South Lakes High School Food Pantry is another charity local to #samsales HQ near Washington, D.C. The pantry provides a place where students in the South Lakes High School Pyramid can “shop” for food and toiletries. The charity is designed to help close the hunger and nutrition gap for the 30% of SLHS students who are on free and reduced lunch (approximately 730 students).
